updated: April 28, 2026 I have to hand it to the people in the K-pop groups. To put up with the crappy hours, low pay, criticism and general bullshit they obviously have to put up with. Man, they must really enjoy what they are doing. I think most people, myself included would probably say, “F*** THIS!” — I for one am glad they do what they do, since it is currently my favorite genre. Disclaimer : We do not know, nor have we met any of the singers. We have never met any of the persons associated with, or running any of the entertainment companies (in Korea or the US). This is only our opinions from observing K-pop, and the related industry, for just over one year. From our observation, many of the singers seem like they would be okay people, if one were to know them, and as in the real world some probably would not be. [ I am not a climber, never climbed a mountain, and was not any good at climbing a rope in gym class — and certainly do not have thousands of dollars to waste on climbing a stupid rock — this is just idle pondering on my part. ] Everest is called the tallest mountain in the world, however, Kangchenjunga was once thought to be higher (now said to be the third highest). Everest seems the most climbed of the two. I assume because being the tallest, it gives the most bragging rights. Or perhaps Everest is easier to summit, than Kangchenjunga, or K2. With a much lower percentage of deaths, than the latter. (and just to clarify; I am not implying that either is easy) — if climbers are really seeking bragging rights, should they climb the hardest, rather than simply the tallest (?) — and I am aware that some have climbed all three mentioned, and others (which is amazingly impressive) — as an analogy; if one were to compare them to buildings; is it more impressive to take an elevator to the tw...
