Random Ponderings

We are not fortunetellers, prophets, soothsayers or wizards. These are not intended to be predictions or prophecies. --- We have no idea, if or when these would ever actually occur. None of these are earthshattering revelations, just hunches and gut feelings. [ we are generally wrong more than right ] 1) A major dispute over heirship of the British crown may occur on the next ascendance. update (7/2025): we don't think this is likely [ for the simply reason that we don't think the true heir wants the hassle of being king ] 2) A current K-pop girl group may go dark, very dark (no we are not talking about like some other current groups ( that we are aware of ) --- or K-rock); one that many may not expect. ( Actually there are some hints, if you are paying attention, —— but with K-pop that can be a shot in the dark. We think we know which group it is, but they will reveal their new incarnation when/if they are ready. --- if we are correct, this should happen sometime in 2025 )...

Pondering ...

Over the many years we have been on the internet (about twenty five), we have wondered why we seldom (usually never) get any comments or feedback to anything we do on the web (lots of comments when we use to post on Usenet). We have came up with some possible hypothesis: 1) none of our stuff is interesting enough for anyone to make a comment 2) people feel their privacy will be compromised and may risk getting spam, etc. by making comments 3) people are to busy, and in too much of a hurry, to make a comment 4) people feel their comments are not important enough, or would be wasting our time 5) possibly that is just the way the web is --- or perhaps there is no one out there? We really do not know for sure. However, 1) Your privacy is safe, we really do not care who you are ;). 2) We seriously doubt anyone wasting their time looking at our stuff is too busy. 3) Your comments (or criticism) is just as important as anyone else's, and we have gobs of free time to kill. 4) If our stuff ...

Reality is not always what you think it is.

While pondering my youth and reminiscing; I remembered an amusing incident. While browsing a store I noticed a lanky cleancut fellow watching from the end of the aisle. Thinking little of it I continued my browsing, looking for whatever it was I was looking for. Moving around to the next aisle, I noticed he had moved to the end of that asile and was still observing me. Okay, I was a typical early 80s, twenty something guy; long hair, faded jeans and t-shirt, and no saint by any stretch of the imagination, but shoplifting was never my thing. Admittedly it was slightly annoying, realizing that this floorwalker, trying not to be obvious (and failing miserably) was watching me. Then I decided, okay let's have some fun. I walked around the far end of the aisle and quickly doubled back to the next aisle over, waited and watched. Shortly this guy appeared at the opposite end, obviously trying to keep track of my location. I smiled to myself and chuckled. Suddenly this nice little old lady...

A Hypothetical Pondering

🤔 A hypothetical thought; perhaps if all (or at least a few) of the receptionist and secretaries, whom provide such an effective shield for the bosses hidding in their offices or out playing golf with their buddies, would take a few days off and let the bosses have to deal with the complaints from irrate, often abusive customers, maybe they would get the message. —- probably not, but it was just a thought 🎭
